D-Frag is quite funny indeed, even in these early chapters when it's still picking up steam. I don't personally don't think it quite hits it's groove until a little further in, but once it does it had me pretty well hooked.

It is because of the anime that I will be picking up the manga. The anime did what it was supposed to do, and that was promote the manga and get people interested in the printed format. Although I'm trying to find the Japanese version since there are 8 volumes available but Kinokuniya can't even seem to be able to order them from Japan.

Really enjoyed this as a debut volume. Found it very funny; probably the best comedy manga released in English since Watamote.

Did you put the name in English or Japanese when you did the search at Kinokuniya? If you do the search in Japanese (ディ－ふらぐ!), almost all eight volumes are listed as available at the Fulfillment Center in Japan. The others they just have to check with the publisher, so it will take a little longer is all.

I actually called Kinokuniya near my house and asked them to put in an order but they said their supplier was out of stock. Since you say that the fulfillment center is full, it sounds like it would not hurt to try and ask them again.

Definitely try to give them another call.  If the worker still says they can't order it, I'd go to the website and get it that way. In the form when you buy it, you can specify whether you want it delivered to your house or pick it up at the bookstore. I don't live near a Kinokuniya, so I'm used to buying from them online. (It's how I got the Japanese version of D-Frag. Some of the volumes were out of stock and the order took a month.)
As for D-Frag! volume 1, I thought it was pretty good. I saw the anime first, and I liked how the anime stayed overall true to the manga, but didn't use the manga as outright storyboards. It was nice how there were some differences, which made reading volume 1 (and the rest of the series) still feel fresh.
