oh great, just what i need (or don't need) to see; a kiddified us butchering of Gatchaman. Rolling Eyes

Thank god for DVD and the Anime Network which will no doubt air dub versions of the original Gatchaman series.
(ADV has licensed the said series for DVD.)

Yeah, but is that a dubbing of the uncut series, or just a re-dubbing of the heavly edited version? Question

It's the version that ran in the US in the 1970s, which is the reason it's being run on Boomerang in place of G-Force or an "unedited" version.

It's a crappy English dub made from 85 heavily-edited Gatchaman episodes, but because Boomerang is solely for cartoons that aired in America in the 70s or earlier (do they even bother with the 80s?), that's the version that runs.

The ADV release will consist of english dubs of the uncut version, as well as japanese language with subtitles.
For the record, I think Casey (Kasem) is talented as a voice actor, but it's the dialogue from his previous stuff (BOTP,Scooby doo and Super friends) that i'm not crazy about.

Now ADV will finally do this classic series justice. can't wait to get my grubby hands on the DVDs. Mr. Green

ADV announced that they were going to air the "G-Force" dub on Anime Network during their presentation at Anime Central.

I'm just repeating what Matt said at the panel; they're using the "G-Force" dub on Anime Network.

That link was in regards to ANN's announcement of ADV's upcoming Gatchaman DVD release.(which i'm 100% positive that it will air on their Anime network just like their previous new releases like Zaion,Gravion etc.) There was no mention of it being under the name/title of G-Force. But if Matt (Greenfield)decides to officially license said series under the G-force moniker ,well..my bad. Wink

No, no, the DVD release will be the original Gatchman.

But they've licensed the "G-Force" dub for broadcast on the upcoming Anime Network linear feed. (not On-Demand)

Shocked Ouch! i guess i'll have to settle for the DVD release, but since i'm a subcriber of the anime network, it wouldn't hurt to check out a few epidsodes. at least it won't be Turner's disapointing version, right?
