I'm watching the first Garo TV series (2005) right now and I'm rather enjoying it. The basic story isn't particularly deep but it's been neatly fulfilling my "handsome-sword-wielding-men-in-leather-pants" quotient for the past week. In that spirit, I wouldn't say no to a manga adaptation (depending on the art quality of course) should it find its way to the US eventually.

I'm very much planning on picking up at least the first volume. I just hope it's an adaptation, side-story, or continuation of the actual story, and not the anime. The anime looks interesting enough, and I'm going to watch it, but it doesn't look like it'll be on par with the actual series.
