As much as I love Idolm@ster the movie isn't really deserving of the top spot. It's a really good movie and if were the only good that got nominated I'd definitely be in favour. But when you put it up against a bona fide masterpiece like Madoka Rebellion (I do not use that term lightly) well... Madoka Rebellion wins. It's not even close. Plus Producer making it to second place for best male character is just... confusing.
The movie spends a lot more time than it should have just shoving drama down your throat and the conflict between the members takes way too long to be resolved. You know that they're eventually going to kiss and make up and play the show without a hitch so what's the point of beating around the bush for half of the run time? As I said it's great movie with lots of great scenes (Haruka's phone conversation with Kana for example) but it's not nearly as good as it could have and probably should have been considering how good the final episodes of the series were. That being said, M@STERPIECE totally deserves best theme song. The movie as a whole is probably an 8/10 at best but if the whole movie were as good as that scene Madoka Rebellion would have a worthy contender. Also I personally would have picked Love Live for best show since it's probably the best experience I've had watching a currently airing series but I'm more than okay with KLK getting the top prize. How Asuna(SAO II) is in that list of best female is beyond me. Kill la Kill killed it. Preserved Roses made the list. Nice.

Today on the overrated awards...I didn't think I'd see a list of shows where I didn't think 80% of them deserved a spot on the list - but here it is.
I disagree most with the character design award though...I thought the character design in KLK was pretty...poor. There were some nice designs but I found the MC's design messy and most of the designs pretty uninspired but oh well. |

Maybe because Asuna is a fantastic female character? She's going to proven a fantastic character again when Mother's Rosario rolls around. She Agree with a fair few on here, Tatsuya should be higher though, as should Rin. Also no Saori Hayami in the top 10 voice actresses? Blasphemy! Truly baffles me how Kill la Kill made so many of the lists and topped them as well. Astonishing that Mako is on any list that isn't worst creation in anime. Studio award made me laugh as well. Trigger in second had me bursting out in laughter until I realized it wasn't a joke

When someone says Tatsuya is a great character then goes on to trash talk Kill la Kill I tend to find them hard to take seriously

Or maybe it was just the opinion of whoever decides on these kind of rewards.
Why would you take somebody who laughs at other peoples opinions seriously in the first place? |

The writing side makes no sense. KLK has quality for shure but best writing in the buisness ? That was was the shows biggest flaw. Oh well it´s Newtype.
