Huh. Was not expecting this. I figured if there was a show that was split up between both Crunchyroll and FUNi this season, it would be Parasyte. Neutral

Oh well. Looks like a neat little show regardless. Smile

so going forward, looks like they are getting home video rights for their shows during the simulcast and not at a later date.

I think 12 simulcasts is a new record

Ooh, well now that I see this is based on a manga by Mizuho Kusanagi, I'm sold! NG Life is pretty boss. Let's hope that someone gets the manga though, I'd probably prefer to go that route since it came first.

This looks like a strong pick up by Funimation. I am glad because, other than Psycho-Pass 2, their Fall 2014 licenses have been lackluster.

I also think Parasyte could be nice addition for Funimation.

This looks promising! Getting kind of a Basara vibe from it.

Excellent I'm getting ready to watch this now. I just hope Crunchyroll will continue it's simulcast, Funimation's website never works for me.

Yeah I too strongly hope the manga of this show catches the eye of the english publishers. Have myself been repeatedly requesting on VizMedia page for considering licensing this >.<

And totally agree NG life is awesome!! I also liked Mugen Spiral from that author. Its a short 2 volume story, could have done really well if it was long as well. But still its really enjoyable. And Mizuho Kusanagi sensei's art is simply gorgeous :3

I currently have the opening theme stuck in my head, someone else catch it from me please?

it'd be nice if funi gets the home video rights because they would probably dub it and then I could convince my dub only friends to watch it. I am perfectly happy with this.

This is my favorite scenario, Funi gets rights so I have a better chance of getting it on DVD/BR but CR also gets to stream it which is my streaming site of choice.

Funimation hardly dubs the theme songs of the anime they license anymore. BTW, who do you imagine singing the opening theme in English?

The opening for Yona is instrumental already, no lyrics. The original post was about dubbing the anime itself.

(...sorry if your post was a joke that totally went over my head. that happens to me a lot.)

Huh, interesting. I'm already watching the show on CR and I'll continue to do so, but it's cool that Funi got the home video rights. It seems like a show I'll like.

Maybe if you're fine with fansubs, but if you want to stay legit in NA, it's pretty much Anime Sols, Crunchyroll, Daisuki, FUNimation, Hulu, Netflix, The Anime Network, and occasionally YouTube.
