**SIGH***
Not another one. Sometimes I think of this as the COD of Japan. I respect people's right to enjoy these games, but this many of them seems a little redundant.

Although I don't personally enjoy them, whoever does, play away. I'll respect your enjoyment and hate the games in the shadows...

What? Rhythm games? Cause in this series, this is only the second game. Like, as in number 2. There was only 1/one before it. I mean, it had a few smaller games that were portable systems only, but you cant possibly be complaining about two main games and a few portable games, right?

Anyways, I got the game today and have been playing it like crazy. Its super fun and the quality of the music videos seems to have gotten a lot better. I've loved pretty much all of the songs so far out of the 15 I've unlocked and have been having a blast! This game is so fun and I'm so excited that its finally out!

I'm trying to fight the urge to get the $100 worth of DLC...

And I haven't even opened my copy yet!

I thought he was referring to launch trailers--
O-kay, it's release day and all, but I've already GOT mine coming in the mail, thank you, and I just got the download outfit code...Just send me the darn thing already!

(Oh, what the heck, I can still use some more previews, even just as another excuse to watch the Decorator video again. Anime smile
Don't think we even got a second-game demo for the US PS3.)

No, rhythm games with Hatsune Miku slapped on. Like I said, I hate them and get annoyed by them, but go ahead and enjoy them.

Again, there's only two of them, Diva F 1&2 (and one Mikudayo for the Nintendo).

Do we get ports of the other videos from the JP arcade games? To that, I say, "hah!"...And, er, no, we don't.

I have to resist the urge to buy this until the holidays since I need to focus on other things, but if I had the time, I know I'd be playing this game right now Smile

Well the PSP had project diva, project diva 2nd, and project diva extend.
Nintendo got project mirai 1 & 2.
then ps3 got project diva 2nd dreamy theater (HD upgrade of PD2nd),
project diva extend dreamy theater (HD upgrade of PDext), and project diva F series. not to mention the arcade games.

the series has been going for a while.

On the first game, in the Diva Room games, I discovered that if you max out your Affinity through gifts, head-pats and Jun-ken-po, at the max Level 6, you unlock birthday cakes for each character--
And if you check your calendar and give them the cakes ON their birthdays, the characters will throw a surprise party for him/her.
It already worked with Meiko's birthday on 11/5, but there's still time to get something for Ren & Lin on Dec. 27 and Luka on Jan. 30, and a long wait until Miku's on Aug. 31.

(...Yep. I'm hopeless. Confused )

But I believe these last two are the only to be localized outside of Japan. In a world where several game series have become annual releases (Assassin's Creed being the biggest offender), being annoyed by a mere TWO games being brought over seems kinda silly IMHO.

I can't wait to get this game! Very Happy

Especially since it has Cantarella Grace Edition in it, along with a whole boatload of other amazing ones.

Many successful series go yearly, including the Tales of series. More relevant, at one point, Guitar Hero and Rock Band were pretty much yearly (not even including the offshoots). Heck, J-music groups were even interested in being in the Japanese version of Rock Band, but alas not to be due to the difficulty in licensing Japanese music and J-homes being smaller and tightly-packed less sound-tolerant.

I'd argue there's four: the original Project DIVA, Project DIVA 2nd, F, and F 2nd.

What's so bad about them? The vocals are hit-and-miss, but it's a fun and interesting melange of other rhythm games, including Gitaroo Man, and if you don't like Gitaroo Man, then we can't be friends.
