I got tickets today, but only for the anime-based live action Cutey Honey and the totally unrelated to anime whatsoever German film Gate to Heaven.

Since I can't afford to watch absolutely everything I'd like to see, I got tickets for those two films I wanted to see the most and I'll decide on the rest based on what is and isn't sold out.

While I couldn't get into the first Ghost in the Shell movie, I would have given GITS: Stand-Alone Complex a chance, since it's a TV series with a bit of the comic relief I crave, except all the showings seem to be this weekend, and I have to go downtown on Monday and, as such, I just don't feel like going downtown over the weekend, so I'll give it a miss. Sad

Heh, I waited in line most of Tuesday for tickets and ended up trying three different ticket offices because the admissions system isn't designed to be swarmed by geeky anime fans buying denominations of 50-100 tickets at a time. The printing process alone was slow... and I felt kind of measley by only getting 30 tickets (15 shows, me and a friend). Anyway, Fantasia looks to be great this year.

I didn't know Innocence was considered a "blockbuster".
