Luffy would be a sweet playable guest star in Smash Bros, not that Nintendo would do it.

Well, there's a straw hat in the game that looks identical to Luffy's, only with a blue ribbon instead of a red one, and the Mii Brawler's Final Smash looks incredibly Luffy-like.

Again, it's nice seeing Nintendo lend their properties to other companies. I see Link Zoro and Fox Sanji in that screenshot. Any ideas on which costume will correlate to the other characters?

If I were to take a guess, if there are more, I'd bet Pikachu Chopper (similar proportions, similar cute mascot, voiced by Ikue Ohtani) and Zelda Robin (elegant, emotionally distant and somber, long-range powers). I can't really think of any other Smash Bros. characters who would correlate well with the other Straw Hat Pirates.

Usopp = Luigi
Nami = Peach
Franky = Donkey Kong
Brook = ...Dry Bones? Oh wait, that's not a Smash character.

Oh, I hadn't even thought of Wii Fit Trainer. Kirby Chopper is a missed opportunity compared to Pikachu Chopper though, if you ask me.
