The only thing of interest is DMC 4 with Virgil. NT's tripe can burn in the landfill. Where it belongs.

I honestly don't see why the Devil May Cry fandom keep bitching about the reboot. The only reason I can see is that it isn't the 'Dante' that we all loved from before. And y'know what, yeah, I prefer the old Dante by far, but I'm not going to discredit the entire game just because of that. Personally, I thought it was a great game, combat felt great and fun and the level design was pretty interesting.

My favourite thing they are introducing is the lock-on mechanic. That was a much needed implementation and I don't see why it wasn't in the game in the first place.

I don't understand why they're still attempting to make bank off of Donte May Cry by "re-introducing" stuff that existed in previous games.

Then again, I'm willing to bet that they have Itsuno's team working on the gameplay while NT are just the codemonkeys.

because it wasn't a good game. It was clunky, the mechanics half-baked, weapons uncreative, the technical performance slashed in half, "platforming" sections were just corridors to pad out the running time, the art design was ugly, and to top it all off the writing took itself so seriously but just came off as puerile and stupid when it didn't become grossly offensive.

...Like or dislike DmC: Devil May cry or not... Will we ever get a game with old Dante again?

Microsoft and Sony seem to not understand that new generation should mean new games, not slightly upscaled ports of existing games.

Be careful what you wish for. Devil May Cry without Hideaki Itsuno is pointless if it's Ninja Theory in charge.

You should probably tell Capcom that since they decided that the game needed to be re-released.

Yeah Capcom, release it on the same day as Type-0 and Bloodborne.

Because gamers are a bunch of entitled babies who want everything exactly how they want it and if it's even slightly different, they complain about it en masse. I say this as a gamer myself.

Personally, I'm with you. I loved the new game, can't wait to give it another go-round.

Because they're dumbasses, that's why. Take every thing that the "fans" had issue with regarding the reboot, fix, remove and implement to create a more classic experience, and they'll still bitch and moan about it being the worst game ever made.

DMC fans are honestly some of the worst this world has to offer. And this is taking into account MLP and Sonic....

I am literally ashamed that I love the hell out of Devil May Cry.

Just two points.

A. Everyone whines about everything, this has nothign to do with gaming, whether its film, anime, sports, etc. everyone complains

B. Your use of entitled, as is typical, is off the mark, because paying consumers of a product are actually "entitled" to criticize, hell you don't even have to pay for something, the placement of a product or work into the public inherently exposes it to criticism.

That said, DMC wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Calling gamers entitled is generally done by big publishers like EA who get upset when gamers call them out on their shoddy products. It's become entitled to expect a game with millions of dollars pumped into it to not be filled with bugs, not be broken, and work adequately. People who buy games like Assassin's Creed Unity and Halo: Master Chief Collection and produce to complain the online multiplayer is broken and doesn't work as intended are called entitled by these companies as a means of damage control. To see consumers adopt the phrase in response to exercising your rights as a consumer is a bit saddening

I can see why people don't like DmC. Generally when a new company takes over a franchise, especially a Japanese one, it's met with hostility and disagreement from fans of how the old one used to be. Silent Hill went through it as well. Generally the new company won't 'get' what made fans like the original games.

I can't believe some morons don't get why people dislike the DmC and regurgitate the same strawman BS years later. The combat in DmC is ridiculously more shallow than the DMC games. That's the main complaint. If you can't see that, maybe you're better off playing the more casualized, shallow action games like DmC and God of War. If you plan on getting deeper into the mechanics, DMC, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden are the pinnacle of the genre.

Well, that and the pretentious but also horrendously puerile and sophomoric writing that clearly thinks it was written by Paul Thomas Anderson when in fact it's clearly taking cues from some of the worst catalog of Image Comics in the 90s. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the game weren't so damn proud of itself.

Also, teaser for DMC4: SE
