Urgh, that is cringeworthy. I mean, I know the Japanese title is pretty silly too, but calling Hyobu and his group the "Unlimited Psychic Squad" just feels incredibly corny.

Goddamit. WHY SENTAI?! GIVE IT TO FUNIMATION SO WE CAN GET A GOOD DUB!! Seriously, Sentai does 50/50 dubs. Some of the voices are fine and some are just wrong. Either that or everything is horrible. I've hardly ever heard a perfect dub from them.

I don't know about you, but I personally love Sentai dubs. I think they're just fine. I've bought more Sentai stuff than Funimation stuff because of the better anime they license.

And I'm gonna pick this up too. Glad it'll finally be released. Nice work, Sentai.

Psychic Squad is not Hyobu's team, it's The Children. The original anime had that title in the Sentai release (just for the cover though, not sure if it's actually found in the subtitles of the show at all)

I mean, let's be frank, ZKC is kind of a hard sell, especially called Absolutely Lovely Children.

Obviously, my first question is whether or not Sentai plans to dub it.

And my second question (although I admit to asking it quite facetiously) is if they do, will they try to get Doug Walker and James Rolfe to cameo in it for shits & giggles. Laughing

Sentai is at least good at acquiring missed gems when Funimation mostly gets whatever is most current and typically get home licenses for stuff they already simulcasted. Glad this title HAS been picked up after they also got the little gem DD Fist of the North Star. Here's hoping they get Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta and the other OVAs that go with it.

lol? Funimation has as many bad dubs as Sentai. See the Index/Railgun dubs. Britney is terrible

Yikes. They changed the title just to tie it to the original series? Sure, the girls are in it, but they aren't even the main characters...

The original title "THE UNLIMITED HYOBU KYOSUKE" is silly too, but I think it's more memorable...Idk about changing the title to tie it into the original show it's based off of, when they don't really have anything to do with each other.

Anyway, I enjoyed this series quite a bit, so I'll probably get it. Would have been nice to see it with a decent dub, but eh.

I don't really like Sentai (I don't think any of their dubs are good. The best are just okay), but I'm glad that The Unlimited Hyobu Kyosuke got licensed. Unlimited's definitely one of the most underrated gems that came out last year. Loved every minute of it Smile

But... why the title change? The original title is silly, but doesn't "Psychic Squad" refer to the Children? [/quote]

Sentai mentioned a while back that the name change for ZKC came at the request of the Japanese licensor. The licensor was the one who chose the name "Psychic Squad," not Sentai.

Well, I'll consider watching Unlimited Psychic Squad if it gets a proper English version. The synopsis seems to indicate that the "Psychic Squad" aren't the starring characters for this show...
