As someone who enjoys most of Shaft's adaptations...this looks garbage. It doesn't have any Shaft flair and looks like literally any other studio could have made it.

I should point out that I'm not disappointed - I was never going to watch this and am disappointed that Shaft are wasting time on generic rubbish like this. I feel like MCA's underperformance has sent them to try something safer, but Nisekoi did well and looked lovely...this is just lazy.

Not impressed, see you next time Shaft - I look forward to Tsukimonogatari at least.

My god the generic is showing everywhere in the art department at least it's not Outbreak Company and it's art that seems like it's from 2001. It may not have much of a budget and sales could go way down as a result.

Because you can give judgment from these few minutes alright.
The most we saw is that it's not trying to force an overly abstract artstyle, that wouldn't fit the show.

It seems that a good number of anime shows appearing in the winter so far have to do with cooking...

I'm not sure if "eroticism" and cooking will mix well together, but I may give this show a watch sometime in the future.

All right, just watch me.

The art looks dated and old, even if you are judging it on technical ability everything looks very simple in the pv's. The eyes have little to no depth and the clothing uses masking instead of being drawn frame by frame. now masking works well in series like SZS - but it looks horrible in this.

Let's continue- the fact that you even said what you just said about Shaft's style means you couldn't judge something if you watched it for 10 years straight, let alone a few minutes. Shaft may go overboard with their style sometimes ( Denpa Onna to/@sasami-san both seem to be either loved or hated, they the latter is a very abstract series fullstop) but the reason they stand out from other companies is their artistic use of colour and motifs. If you don't like it don't watch it, but don't complain about a studio which is different just because you don't like it.

Quick pitstop - I dislike Studio Trigger's art style, I find it too cartoonish(blobby) and flat for anime a lot of the time. As a result I don't watch a lot of Trigger series, I also don't go and complain about how they ram their style down my throat.

Continuing onwards once more. The plot - what's hard to explain here? It's a cute-girls-doing-cute-things 4koma - the cute thing in this case is cooking. QUite frankly it's one of the least interesting genre's in anime/manga although their are standout works which I won't go into here. When I say it's not interesting I mean the plot is generally simple, the characters are created under the moe-blob banner and very few topics worth talking about are ever discussed in them.

Now Shaft have done this type of series before, but their most renowned works are almost entirely deep, character based stories. Not a girl failing to boil water.

SO yes, I am 100% capable of judging this show from that PV. It's quite literally what the pv is designed to do, show of the style of animation and interest the audience.

Huh, the voice acting was much more lukewarm than I thought if you know what I mean.

Will be watching this for the voice talent alone. Rina Satou is my favorite current seiyuu and Mikako Komatsu really made a big impression on me as Marika.
