"Be a voice actor for an unnamed anime."

It better be good, and not some ****** anime.

Naw, whatever it is would be fun just for the experience. And Austin's a great city to visit.

Has this kind of promotion ever been done with anime before?

I think the Road Rules folks were given the opportunity once (I think for Armitage, but to complete an assignment than have it made into the final cut), but other than that, not really.

I'd do it, except I have college to go to, and voice acting isn't my major (or minor)

Let the Naruto rumours run rampant!!!

Have fun in Austin then. The catch is, Funimation is in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

As for this type of promotion, there was a Anime Idol competition done a while back to find a talent for voice acting. I believe it was a New York company that was sponsoring it.

i'm guessing it won't be anything big, just something like "Soldier #2" or "Guy On Street" or something like that. it's a sweepstakes for god's sake.

For all the people that whine about bad dub, here's a chance to show your true talent with your own voices. Who knows, maybe we'll complain about how stiff thier voice acting is when the unname anime comes out.

Maybe if the winner's lucky, he/she can voice characters like Ai or Kaito Kid.

That would be Monster Island, ADV's second studio. They've done the dubs for Final Fantasy Unlimited, Cosplay Complex, Magical Play and are doing the dub for the New Fist of the North Star.

Ahh, sorry for the mix up. Can you say anymore about this thing? I'll be curious to see what part the winner gets.
