Funimation really went above and beyond this season. I'm happy for it!

So, CR still has two spots. One is probably Isuca, which won't be premiering until much later in the month, and/or KuroBas. Also possible is a drama. The new Precure is the only thing after, and no one ever gets those. I guess there's also the possibility of a late-cast.

There were actually a nice number of series not streamed at all; Milky Holmes, Falcom Gakuen, Washimo 2, Doamaigar D, Q Transformers, Ketsuekigata-kun! 2, and Pankis. And the new Dog Days isn't streaming in anywhere but Asia.

Crunchyroll was like: Oh, i see you'd like to watch these series. Let's ignore them all and instead fight for funimation's scraps!

Seriously, there's basically no new shows (aside from Jojo) I'm interested in on Crunchyroll this season. This is my first time signing up for Funi. Mainly for YuriKuma, but didn't think they'd be getting every other interesting show this season too. Too bad their console apps are so broken. Can't add new stuff to the queue on Xbox, and can't even see the queue or use the remote on PS3.

For marketing on DVD, you could get some people by saying "From the studio that brought you Speed Racer".

Umm…Sentai didn't get this? Even after their vaunted partnership with Tatsunoko to release their shows ? I thought it wasn't limited to their past ones and they would have the inside track to getting this one, but FUNimation has it instead? I hope this isn't another one of those type of deals from Tatsunoko…

Has Doronjo been associated with leopards? When this synopsis said that this Doronjo's real name is that of the animal, it immediately made me think of the Pokémon Liepard and how it reminded me of Doronjo when I first saw it.

As for the deal between Sentai and Tatsunoko, maybe something fell through and someone was unhappy. Did Gatchaman Crowds sell as expected? Or maybe Tatsunoko wants to have well-received English dubs, and FUNimation is more trusted to make those than Sentai.

Not really. Maleficent is one of a string of attempts to ruin good villains by making this good all along in an attempt to cash in on the success of Wicked. The Doronbow aren't being depicted as good in this story. It's that the Yatterman's successors have become corrupt tyrants, so the descendants of Doronbow are using their symbols to raise up opposition to them.

I'm not familiar with the original Yatterman, so I suspect this one may go right over my head.

What was Funimation thinking? "Yatterman" isn't very well-known here in America so why on earth did they get that? Nobody's dubbed the 2008 series into English. They probably think it's going to be another "Pokemon." At least Americans have heard of that, outside of the Japanese community here, not unlike "Yatterman" of which few in America are going to recognize anyway.

I don't think FUNimation ever intended it to be a tremendous breakout hit, just that FUNimation will stream it.
