You guys were just the tiniest bit late on this one. The tour came through Los Angeles this past weekend.

I attended and recommend it highly. Mr. Beagle is a delight. At the show I attended, there was an autograph signing, followed by a Q&A, then the screening followed by another autograph signing. There's also quite a bit of merchandise which can't be purchased anywhere but at the show.

Unfortunately, they were sold out of the book, but you can sign up with them to receive a discount on a special edition which is being released later this year.

Definitely check it out if you have the chance. Seeing The Last Unicorn on the big screen is wonderful, too! Very Happy

Now this is definitely going to have some people showing their ages when they decide to watch this again on the big screen.

I love this movie and loved it as a kid. I'd watch it over and over again waiting for it to rewind. I met Peter one convention and got his autograph Smile I hope this will include Canada.

I would like to see this film. Kinda cool to see ANN reporting on it despite it's not being anime (yes, I'm already aware of Topcraft being the precursor of Studio Ghibli).

You know what would be ironic: If Disney can get the right to The Last Unicorn and release this animation on DVD/BD under the "Studio Ghibli line".

It's already been released on BD, no need for Disney.

Yeah I know, but I like to ponder and joke around if what happen if Disney was able to get the right for the Last Unicorn in the future. That would be kinda cool to see Disney to gain the right for this film and release it under the Studio Ghibli line on DVD/BD in the future.

I'd never want Disney to have Last Unicorn rights and besides much of the content Disney would never get behind.

I didn't pick up the blu ray, but I noticed it has a few extras that are not on the dvd, including a film commentary by Peter S. Beagle. Don't know how the transfer looks, but it seems they did a good job with the release as far as special features.

If you loved the movie, the screening tour is a must-see! I got to attend a screening back in September of 2013 and it looked fantastic on the big screen. The Q&A and autograph sessions are a real treat. Peter S Beagle was a delight to speak to and you could tell that he really enjoyed talking to all the fans and signing autographs.

It's grainy in the beginning but smooths out after a few minutes. Looks great overall, I'm glad that most of the animated films of that era have gotten BDs, but Bakshi still needs a complete collection.

Y'know if it hits NYC I should see it. I never saw it on the big screen. My cousin was the only one that saw it way back when. And considering it's age now, it will definitely look great on a HD movie screen. Very Happy

Cool, and Thanks! I'll definitely pick it up in the near future.

Agree with you 100% on Bakshi.

Chrno2, it already screened in NYC back in October. I was unable to attend due to a work function and am still kicking myself for not ditching work for the screening.

Wow, something in Clovis. Maybe I'll finally see this movie. I was always curious why it always had some panel or booth at Anime Expo.

if Disney got it maybe that live action adaption they were trying to do a while back (which would include parts left out of the animated movie adaption) would actually happen.
