This is a nice turn around time for a dub. Good luck to this company.

Kind of surprised Disney passed on that one. Seems like it'd have broader appeal than Kaguya, even if Miyazaki had no involvement on it.

You may want to clarify in the article that the spring release is theatrical, not for home video.

Looks like patience has paid off. I'm just surprised that we will see the finished film in spring... thought it would take much longer since they had yet to announce anything. Definitely still curious, because the premise sounds really fascinating.

Great news for people on the other side of the pond. Saw Marnie when it first came out earlier this summer and it was really very good. All the other people I know who saw it really enjoyed it as well. Definitely a movie that stays in your mind long after you first see it.

Excellent. it's funny when this feature came out there wasn't much news. Or I missed something. Did ANN post the numbers? Hell, there was so much talk about Frozen's spot in Japan, it was like the film barely existed. Then there was Kaguya, so Marnie? What film was that?
Glad to know it's going to be part of the line-up. I will be on my schedule when I get sent on assignment come 2/27. Looking forward to it.

I too find it odd that Disney isn't releasing this. It seemed like it was right up their alley. But I suppose they really don't give a crap about anything that doesn't have Miyazaki's name on it. I'm fine with it though, GKIDS is a great company and I'm glad they got it over Disney. They don't treat the Ghibli films like a burden like Disney always has for so many years.
