Tsk, some people just lack common sense. Well at least they are still breathing, even in Canada this could have turned out very differently.

That comment at the end reminds me of that recent incident in Utah, where police shot a black kid doing a Samurai Champloo cosplay, claiming he attacked them with a sword.

Rob Spittall, owner of The Comic Book Shoppe in Ottawa, witnessed the arrest. “Considering how the world has changed in the past year, I'm thankful we're not the States. Realistically, if we were in the States, those kids would be dead,” he said.

It would all depend upon the ethnicity of the victims.

No doubt they'd be dead if they were in America.

Beat me to it. These kids would have had a full clip emptied into them. But at least they were dressed up and masked like arm militia men. I can at least understand how that would end horribly.

Lol, such ominous music to put over a video of them walking to the car.

As bad as the gun confiscation is, I have a foreboding feeling that this predicament could've been much worse if these cosplayers were encountered in the U.S, if Darrien Hunt's fatal encounter with the police is anything to go by...

I see the comments in this article, then I look at the resulting thread and then I realize why cops are shooting. With the entitled attitude of people nowadays, I would be nervous too. Course we all forget the incident with the cop that had a body camera where the guy was acting normal and then suddenly pulled a gun out of his pocket for no bloody reason and shot the cop dead.

Murica, its okay to attack police officers, but when the cops retaliate in defense, OMG VICTIM SAVE ME I'M OPPRESSED!

None of you know oppression, none of you. Go sit on a mountain surrounded by ISIS trips and call me then.

Edit: Also, notice something about those rifles? NO ORANGE TIP! If they got shot, they deserved it
