Not bad, but she skimps out on quite a few notes, especially in the fast sections of the song. I know that her style is more sing-songy, but it seriously felt too slow, almost like she could not play it faster without making mistakes. The guitar solo part was missing notes and lacked the aggression and chaos that reflect the lyrics, which are about the lost glory of Japan. That solo almost says that the composer/lyricist feels that the loss of Japan's glory has lead to an identity crisis of sorts that is painful, despite the happy surface of things. Lindsay Sterling's solo makes that too laid backto the point that it gives an entirely different message. Overall though, she makes the piece her own, which is not easy to do.

People could try to play "Destiny Awaits". It's Senbonzakura after all.

Just kidding. Smile

"Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi".

Haha nice Byakuya bankai sneakage there. And I LOVE THIS COVER! I'm a huge fan of Miku and Project Diva etc, and even though she was mostly improvising I loved it! xD

Her leg movement is basically her signature style, for better or worse. She's certainly a talented artist but can be pretty much a one-trick pony. Once you've seen one of her videos you've basically have seen them all.

The cover is pretty kick-@$$, at that. Cool

The original Project Diva video's definitely become one of Miku's iconic images, and even though she's still cute in it...why do they keep giving Miku the "dark" twisted-lyrics songs?
Wouldn't it have been better if they'd given it to one of the more "sophisticated" vocaloids?:

Wooo! Lindsey Stirling on ANN, I never thought I'd see the day. Awesome violinist, though. She also covered the original Pokemon theme song; 'I wanna be to very best...' you know how it goes Anime smallmouth

I was actually surprised by how little she was moving (compared to most of her other videos). The article mentions how she's classically trained, but I've always thought she had a more celtic style about her (especially with all the jumping around).

That was a splendid violin cover of Senbonzakura. Smile I think it shows a calmer version of this song.

YAHOOOO!

This is one of my most favorite songs of all time by one of my most favorite musicians, and while I was hoping and dreaming it would happen, I never thought it would become a reality. But then it did. Which resulted in my devolution into an incomprehensible puddle of fan girl.

That is really impressive. I've heard another impressive Vocaloid violin cover by Ayako Ishikawa here but this video is really beautiful too.
Ishikawa did Senbonzakura too here but I prefer Lindsey Stirling version.
