This kind of reminds of Mahoromatic's Mahoro in that they are androids with a short life except this android will outlive Mahoro by a long time.

Doubt the 9 years of life will come into play much, just kinda there to ruin your hopes and dreams I guess. |

Yeah, the roughly 9 years and 3 months life span will probably play some sort of 'let's make the most of our time together' role, when all things are said and done.

No wonder the 1st news regarding to this anime has a tagline: "A bittersweet romance." Plus, with a tagline in the 2nd news: "Love story born from digital memories,"
And finally, a tagline in this latest news: "A story of meetings & partings." Looks like an anime with a lot of "Feels" are coming.... |

Damn, maybe it's just me, but that art style and color palette is beautiful. Animation looks fluid as well, looking great so far.

An anime also called Charlotte (From the creators of Angel Beats) would be release this year. Looks like this is the year of "Feels".... |

The art style looks "clean" and "pristine". A look that I suspect will stand in a stark contrast to the anime's plot.
