Looks cute although I think it might take some time to get used to the character design. Hope it will be faithful to the source though.

Having read the manga, feel like the look to this one suits the tone of the manga. Looking forward to this! Loving the manga series.

Can someone come up with a nicer way of saying it's cheap-looking compared to the first series?

Nagato's design is mostly like I remember it from Haruhi, but Kyon appears different.

Less than a month away.

Yeah, not digging Kyon's character design. His personality is pretty much the same as the original but he looks very generic-harem-lead here.

Puyo's artwork is not really great when he's not drawing SD, so in that respect, this anime is an improvement.

Yeah, I always have trouble telling Asakura and Tsuruya apart in the manga.

Anyway, I feel like the animation style is like a midpoint between the original Haruhi anime and the Haruhi-chan anime.

Without KyoAni's involvement, what does anyone realistically, reasonably expect? As long as it's standard animation one sees on most mainstream shows then I won't be complaining/criticizing, and those 15 seconds are still an improvement over the manga art. The only real concern/hope I have is that the writing will have a more lively flow than the manga, kind of similar to what the K-On anime did for the manga version. I'll be watching it either way.

I Loved season one and then well almost loved season 2 despite the eight episodes of sameness that strangled it's point. Now this being Yuki, based I am hoping CR gets to stream it and that some US release picks it up and I can buy it and set it on the self at some point or that Itunes gets it at the very least~

Should have stuck with the original character designs.

Being a parallel universe/timeline, I suppose there's a possibility, spoiler[like the manga sometimes hints at], that there could be an intertwining of both worlds at some point. While the initial rational thought is that the character designs are just indicative of a new studio taking over, I could imagine both Kyons meeting at some point much later spoiler[like Nagato] and seeing two different styles would be interesting. That is, if KyoAni gives up those rights, Tanigawa/Puyo actually have or will have material up until that point, and Yuki-chan is popular enough to warrant completion of both series.

I also dislike donut Kyon though, but I understand they're trying to target a younger audience, which, the manga is made for anyway. The next generation of possible fans, to pave the way for completion. Does Yuki-chan have enough meat? I'm doubtful, but I'm interested either way.

Basically, KyoAni visuals are like the Vancouver Symphony of Fire, and Satelite's are like the fifty dollar dragon blasters you buy at the redneck fireworks stations five milesout of town. That's why.

On the one hand, its from the same source material, which should say something about the continued quality of the writing... but on the OTHER hand, this isn't the Nagato I've come to love. This is shy, ditzy girl who looks kinda like Nagato and shares her name, so...

**SIGH**
Once again, Kyoto Animation is the masters of cuteness.
