So, I saw this last night and while the play was well done, the content wasn't to my taste at all, and had I realized what the story was about and the grimdark sociopolitical genre, I wouldn't have gone to see it.
I'm a huge *pnish* fan and know and like many of the actors in the play (I first encountered Ikeoka through his stint in TeniMyu), but after 8 years of attending pnish plays, I thought I knew what to expect: action-adventure and lots of comedy and goofy characters you wanted to see more of. That's not what you get with MJR at all though, presumably because this isn't their original story and they have to stick to the script. So as a play, it was good if not to my taste. As a pnish ply though it was a huge diversion from their normal fare and a disappointment for it, for me
