Well this is, uh... weird.

Are they actually married to this guy, or is it just part of the act?

This is just an act, it's more geared towards harem lovers but man is it amusing.

Kiyoshi Ryūjin 25 is just brilliant Laughing. Great that you embedded their debut song as well, it's hella catchy.

Also, 3:38. Smooth AF Cool.

Ryujin Kiyoshi has also written several songs for Yui Horie. Yes, the VA/singer Yui Horie Razz.

@doubleO7

It's an idol unit. Polygamy is illegal in Japan. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

It never cease to amaze me the people that like this garbage.

New generations are inherently WEIRD to say the least.

It doesn't happen often, but things like this remind me there are worse things than American pop music.

This is hilariously awesome, a whole real life idol group based on harems. Doesn't hurt that the girls are cute and the song is really catchy.

The whole "new generation has shit taste"-thing is usually left for jokes and trolling. And sometimes for old grumpy people. It's rather sad when people legitimately try to use it for anything other than that Rolling Eyes.

spoiler[Disregard this if you are indeed old and grumpy.]

Yup, and they all tend to be great songs! Smile

Miss Monochrome also participated in one of his recent concerts.

Today's Baby Boomers were considered weird by their own parents, who looked down on drugs, rock n' roll and sexual freedom. And yet now baby boomers are considered uncool and conservative. Every generation looks down on subsequent generations, so it's not surprising that they never understand young people.

----------

Anyway, I don't see this harem group as a generational thing, I just see it as a "WTF, only in Japan" thing.

First of all, this is not an "only in Japan" thing. People in Japan also think this is weird. o_O

And while I'm usually up for applying for auditions, I'll pass on this one.

You don't want to be a polygamous sex object? Why on earth not? Wink

This reminds me of Hugh Hefner and his playboy mansion. Definitely a unique concept for idol group when idols are typically supposed to stay single.

Can you name another country which has a Polygamous Idol Unit?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

Therefore, labeling it as "only in Japan" is entirely accurate.
