Joshiraku getting some attention lately, nice. It's been awhile since I've watched the series but it was still fun while it lasted.

One of my favourite comedy animes. Sad that no one has licenced this series, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Considering nothing ever actually came of Zetsubou-sensei's license, I highly doubt Joshiraku would ever get picked up.

With all those special features, I wouldn't be surprised if the cost is almost $300.

700 minutes of MP3 files for the audio drama? That's over 11.5 hours.

You've guessed quite accurately! The natalie.mu article appears to list a price of 28944 yen, which is currently about $240 US.

This overpricing problem is why I think Japan should charge the Funi or Sentai prices for their products. I don't understand why attempts to lower the prices haven't worked.
