With some of the other items having jewelry or gold, I can see it justi-fying their price, but I don't understand why the Robo-Kitty was so much money. Between these and a Japanese BD boxset, I'd go with the boxset.

Personally,I think that the "Hello Kitty" merchandise was a little weird for me. For a guy like me,it would cost an arm and a leg to get those things,no matter how much I saved. Besides,I don't think I'd want stuff like that anyway.

It's just collector things. These kind of merchandise, I find them not actually "usable" or "wearable". But owning them alone is a high prestige and pride for the collector.

As for the Summer 2015 anticipation, I voted for Charlotte, especially now that they've released new visuals, my anticipation can't get any higher.

Who in their right mind would want to eat Onodera's cooking? Look at it, sure. Definitely not eat it.

Ah, this is tough. I've narrowed it down to Kobeni, Asuna, Erina, and Megumi, but that's as far as I could get. All of them are good waifu material.

Why is the poll only about female anime characters? Is there going to be another poll with male characters who are good at cooking?

I wrote in "Ui Hirasawa" from K-On! but if the poll were to include all cooking-adept anime characters no matter what gender, I'd vote for the "Curry Fairy" himself, Hosaka from Minami-ke (who can cook pretty much anything, not just curry, but his curry song is a masterful aria and also quite informational about which ingredients you should consider putting in, though I don't know about chocolate).

Hmm, I had to pass on the Hello Kitty figures that were designed to look like the Ninja Turtles as all 4 cost about $200, no way would I buy anything on this list. But hey, I've got a crazy-adorable Hello Kitty plush dressed up as Chun-Li from Street Fighter so I'm all good!

Heh. I voted for Tae Shimura. In fact, I started that name.

^ I almost wrote in C-Ko Kotobuki from Project A-Ko, almost certainly the first instance in which I noticed the "Lethal Chef" trope (in an anime, I mean).

There are a couple varieties of official Hello Kitty guitars. Both Squier and Fender made mass-market versions that can still be found online for around US$300.

Small correction, but Squier is a subsidiary of Fender that basically makes mass-market Fender guitars. I'm guessing that at a $300 price point all of the Hello Kitty guitars are made by Squier (save the $22000 model, which is a real Fender, as it damn well should be at that price).

I had a friend in high school that collected Hello Kitty merchandise. I was very supportive of it. I was very close to buying her a Hello Kitty vibrator as a gag gift but I didn't think it would go over too well, So I think I got her some of the toilet paper instead. Anyway, I think she stopped collecting the stuff when she realized how ridiculously priced the real Hello Kitty collectors items are.

@Tenchi: Around the 3:20 mark of the YT "Josh Grelle on Ox Ford, Ludger, Princess Jellyfish and Baka and Test", Josh uses Aki's voice to say that he ships Himeji but that Himeji's cooking is the Devil.

My options were Alice, Erina and Tadokoro. Alice was the first who came up in my mind, but I chose Erina because she's obviously the best chef of the first year students. Tadokoro is fourth best female chef of the first years at best.

If we were talking about like a one time thing then I would definitely go with Erina as well. I included Kobeni and Megumi because I think in the comfort food department they would be better than Erina.
