Bought Gravity Rush for a dollar on a recent Flash sale but I have been too busy playing Freedom Wars.

Great to hear the Witcher 3 is good, never really got into the Witcher games but Guerilla Games poached a few Witcher 3 talent for their new RPG game.

I really am excited for FF VII because everything I have seen of FF XV just makes that game look like crap.

Never played Shenmue because I became a Sony fanboy after Genesis. Recently played Yakuza 4 which did the same thing except you can raise a hostess and pick up a bicycle and then beat a guy so hard with it that his teeth come flying out as he tearfully gives you 10,000 yen for daring to try to fight you because you got drunk trying to get a hostess to love you so she will give you her business card.

The Amiibo situation has really made me hate Nintendo for how they have handled it. Who the hell thought that making 3 times as many Diddy Kong as the entire Fire Emblem amiibos combined was a good idea? My Local store (actually 40 minutes away) had one wave 4 character (Wario) that was sold out but has had like twenty Diddy Kong for months because no one wants Diddy Kong anymore!

The FtP mobile games is interesting just because Triple A Games have become so expensive that I question why don't they just switch to mobile games like Japan did. It just seems like a better thing than hoping that 5 million people will buy your game.

I need to buy both Nier, and check out the various Star Ocean games because the new Star Ocean game looks pretty cool.

While I remain stalwart in my refusal to get my hopes up for Robot Dinosaur Slayer 2016, this seems like a good sign.

Also, for some reason I thought Guerrilla were the people who made Red Faction 3, which I loved. Turns out Guerrilla was the SUBTITLE of Red Faction 3 and Guerrilla GAMES made Killzone, which are generally not very good (PSP one is decent!) So I guess that means my enthusiasm remains at an even keel.

I streamed the first 2 days of E3 2015 as i have been since 2006 so let´s do this:
Activision: Only Call of Duty: Black Ops III (more like 4) is a lock and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 looks like a mess as these guys did the HD remake too. Skate 4 when?

Bethesda: That is how you do a company dedicated conference and Fallout 4 / Doom look out of this world. The gore gasm montages the (US) press then put together were retarded tough.

Electronic Arts: No surprises but all the games look strong with Need for Speed standing out. The EA bashing is frankly unjustified.

Microsoft: 360´s round of backwards computably was half cooked and the last word on this matter hasn´t been stated here or elsewhere even if PS3 emulation without streaming is impossible. The games lineup was strong and Rare Replay was my secret game of the show. The still not shown Rise of the Tomb Raider 360 version should be glorious bust and i love that all sorts of games have the 360 version as giveaways even if i finished all so none can call them anti-consumerist.

Nintendo: Their "presentation" was a fine grade C Level affair for what it was supposed to be and gave me enough B Level games keep me occupied but Metroid deserves better then that turd or the script from Other M which is the last taste we got in 2010 so i made sure to log into Youtube to down-vote that announcement video (the dislikes are way over 9000) to make my voice as a consumer heard.

PC: XCOM 2 GotY should come to consoles too, Insomniacs' Cthulhu-esqe Edge of Nowhere looks dope and another year of the promised VR future was shown. Ok but does Microsoft even know that the PC does games too? Running Windows into the ground is a full time job tough... Dat Windows 10 better be good Evil or Very Mad.

Sony: Was the darling of the ball by a hairs breath even if all these bonus skins / extras are marketing nonsense only. Who besides me actually knows of Shenmue (2 is way better then 1) but i will get it of course, The Last Guardian can finally come out or fade away and Guerrilla was finally allowed to leave the Killzone slave pits with the intriguing Horizon: Zero Dawn. I am ok with my Vita being a PS+ machine only as Sony at least tried.

Square Enix: I will buy nearly every non iOS game shown with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided leading the charge and the later proposed FF VI (2D or just like III/IV if possible) remake would be baller as it is the 2nd best one in the series. I have written an eulogy to FFVII and SE in that ines forum btw. as SE is back on track and then some.

(Tom Clancy's) Ubisoft: Presents more Tom Clancy but do kidZ even know that he was a writer? All sorts of functioning sequels look really functioning and it took me 5 minutes to figure out that South Park The Fractured but Whole is a gaping joke. Lol. For Honor though has me really stoked and the latest trend of E̶A̶ Ubi web bashing is frankly unjustified.

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer was mesmerizing and should wash out the GZ aftertaste for good even if i won´t get ZoE 3 or a dignified entry to the Silent Hill franchise unless Trolljima is a bigger magical then Copperfield. He sure lived hard.
The Walking Dead: Michonne should be followed up with one about Jesus.
Persona 5, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (it may be the worst written long running J-RPG franchise btw.) and the not shown Tales of Berseria lastly need to be the final round of PS3 developed games as the comparable Xbox 360 is 2005 tech and that can´t fly in 2016.
Get it together Japan as the success of the PS4 concerns you too!
(I live next to Gamescom btw. but that will be a streaming session too as such convention are only wort it from a press perspective.)

-While I don't have any intent on ever buying an Xbox One, I must admit that the Rare Replay compilation sounds pretty cool, especially since it's going to include the Battletoads arcade game. It never saw a console release before, likely because EA was behind releasing it in arcades, but I recall playing it once when I was kid & then never seeing the machine ever again. If anything, I wouldn't mind giving that game another play after all this time.

-Sony definitely went straight for the "Nostalgic Jugular" (copyright pending), there's no doubt about that. Like many other people, Final Fantasy VII was my introduction to JRPGs, and one day I'll get a PS4; therefore, I'll get the remake eventually. Granted, while I enjoyed FF VII & have fond memories of it, while being big into that game I started playing Breath of Fire III, which I have ended up preferring in general. I'm curious about how the FF VII remake will end up, but I'm not expecting it to live up to the nostalgia that so many are likely going to hold it up against. We already see that it's using the Advent Children-style designs, making it look very different from a stylistic perspective, and it was already stated that seeing Cloud & gang standing in place before attacking every now & then would look odd now. Therefore, I'm expecting a complete rehaul of the battle system, minus keeping the materia system intact. Still, this was something that I always felt was going to happen one day, it just finally happened.

-As for Shenmue III, that was definitely out of left field. I played about 1/2-3/4 of the original game (I know I got to the point where Ryo gets the job at the dock), and it was a cool & different experience. Sadly, my Dreamcast Disc 1 doesn't load properly anymore, so I give it another go right now. I'm curious about how Shenmue III will end up, but at the same time I do want to see Sega give the first two games a HD remaster, because while making a movie out of the first game was fine to get into the second, it's now pretty silly for newcomers to have to rely on those compilation movies that the third game will have. There's just too much story at that point to just say "You don't need to play those first two games. Just go straight into the new one." That being said, I do plan on watching Shenmue the Movie this weekend, if only to remind myself of the allure of the original game from 15 years ago.

-While it seems like a lot of people were disappointed with Nintendo, I think what was shown looks cool. EarthBound Beginnings was an amazing surprise release (& I really didn't expect Roy & Ryu to come out alongside Lucas for Smash), Star Fox Zero looks interesting, Super Mario Maker looks like a ton of fun, Fatal Frame is awesome to see come over, & even Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem/Genei Ibun Roku #FE looks really interesting & different for a Nintendo-involved RPG. I'm neutral on that new Metroid Prime game, but I think the thing that annoyed a lot of gamers is that they all expected Nintendo to do the same thing as Microsoft & Sony, as in announce a bunch of new games that we wouldn't see anything from until next year's E3. Instead of being excited about what's actually coming out (that Yoshi game looks astoundingly adorable), some people just keep wanting to looking so far ahead while ignoring what's (relatively) in front of them.

As for amiibo, my only "must haves" are Pac-Man & Mr. Game & Watch, but I've ended up buying Kirby, Luigi, Sonic, & Pac-Man. That leaves only Mr. Game & Watch, & I'm honestly ecstatic that G&W comes with multiple poses that you can swap out, though I'll probably just leave it to just the Judge pose with the hammer; yeah, G&W is one of the my favorite characters in Smash... I'm a weirdo. But, man, if people have been complaining about the scarcity of some amiibo now, then imagine the seething rage people will have for when the Ryu amiibo comes out.

I am calling it right now: The Ryu amiibo will be nigh-impossible to find, even if it winds up having a larger print-run since it's a third party character, ala Mega Man, Sonic, & Pac-Man. Ryu will seriously be insane to find, I'm sure of it.

I can imagine peeps spinning that notion into thinking "NINTENDO IS DOOOOOMED; THEY GOT NOTHING on 2016!!!" or something to that effect. But yeah, it pretty much goes down to fufilling whatever crazy expectations they wanted out of it. Granted last year's E3 Direct was pretty insane with its introduction to the Amiibos (with a REALLY badass opening sequence), Smash announcements, new Hyrule Warriors trailer, and the unexpected new IP Splatoon; it's hard to beat that. Though I do feel kind of bad for the Metroid fans when that Blastball game that was premiered during the NWC ended up part of a Metroid Prime 3DS game.

If you want to put a positive spin on Nintendo's Direct, a lot of the games announced WILL come out this year more or less. And the Treehouse segments are once again top-notch like with gameplay footage of #FE, Fatal Frame and Xenoblade X with English text UI; they even included a sample dub clip which is really appreciative.

It only took Witcher 3 two weeks to sell 4 million copies!

I believe that's so far the best-selling RPG of the current gen home consoles.

Hey, all they knew about John Madden was a funny NFL color commentator --they didn't know he was also a player and head coach-- but that didn't affect the franchise any! Laughing

The games i got excited about from this E3 turned out to be Cuphead, Hyrule Warriors 3DS, the new Deus Ex, the new Mass Effect and Kingdom Hearts 3.

Even as jaded as i am about Kingdom Hearts that trailer still had me in tears. Its annoying that they make all the spinoffs plots stuff i'm actually interested in which means i really wanna play them. Hope its good but every time i see that "currently in development" text pop up i pop a blood vessel. Square need to stop doing this with these games and just announce them when they're closer to being done.

I really would've liked Cuphead to be available on more platforms. I'm a fan of those old Ub Iwerks cartoons from way back when, and they replicated that look PERFECTLY.

As far as what's announced at E3, I don't yet have an Xbox One or a PS4, so I just stick with what will be available on the Nintendo systems. I already picked up the demo of Freedom Planet, and I will buy an amiibo of Mabel if I find it anywhere. And a 3DS amiibo adaptor, as long as they make it less scarce than other certain amiibo.

I never understood the logic of amiibo production and distribution in the west. They severely underestimate demand every single time, and sometimes, the retailers do too, as is what happened with Target and its exclusives. That being said, where I live, even the Diddy Kongs are selling out. The only ones many of the retailers I visit have are Mario, Luigi, Kirby, and Pikachu. Sometimes Link.

Of course, I also live in a place where I missed the Diancie distribution at GameStop for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire because every place I visited had run out of codes pretty early on. Still, it's partially the fault of GameStop for leaving them in a stack anyone could take. People will inevitably take a whole bunch (or all of them) and either hoard them to increase scarcity or give them to everyone they know. (For the same reason, I always wondered how those newspaper dispensers on the sidewalk ever turn a profit, as nothing stops people from just taking all of the newspapers, and I see people take extra newspapers all the time.)

I'm surprised Nintendo did not make any announcements regarding Pokémon Z Version, if it will exist at all. (And I am pretty sure it will, as there are a lot of incomplete threads surrounding Zygarde.)

I have to say, the debut of Metroid Prime: Federation Force is the worst of Nintendo's E3 conference. The Metroid fans were waiting five to eight years for a new game of exploration, only to be severely let down by a one-minute trailer of chibi-fied soldiers hunting down monsters and playing a game of "Blast Ball." The end result: a hurricane of anger and lament.

Aside from that, Nintendo did have some other titles that look interesting. Star Fox Zero looks to be very thrilling with its space traveling and aerial combat, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam brings new twists between the worlds of 3D and 2D, and Fire Emblem Fates is shaping up to be a intriguing adventure through differing viewpoints of two different kingdoms.

Overall, I think Nintendo's E3 conference was pretty lukewarm, leaning more towards the cooler side (in a not-so-good way).

Yeah, I got the impression that a LOT of the "Why won't you remake VII??" fan campaigns, back when X/X-2 was being upgraded, was due to fans with a bit of bad memory about VII, who either remembered the Advent Children anime, or thought Square was born making the photorealistic characters of the double-digit games...And that the reason FFVII said they couldn't remake the game "without remaking it from scratch" was just a lame excuse for their being mean because they didn't like us.
Those of us old PSOne vets, who remember Parasite Eve and BoF3 know that VII was one of the first RPG games out of the pack that wasn't just 3/4-overhead sprites on a map, and that the "Minecraft People" design of Cloud and Barrett assembled with floating polygons was the first attempt to figure out what those little 2D sprites would look like if they could stand up in 3D.

When Square upgraded Kingdom Hearts, most thought that Square could just slap a new sheen of high-definition onto any game, while the rest of us were joking "When are we going to get a high-def upgrade of Final Fantasy V?"
