While I didn't really enjoy this series past around the halfway point, it's a pretty good fit for Toonami. Isn't it also Sentai's first adult swim series?

Seems like a great fit. Madhouse stuff does well in places like US and it reminds me of Bleach a bit.

Saw this on Twitter and I'm sooo excited! One of the reasons I was upset that Sentai picked this up was it'd hurt its chances of airing on Toonami, and I'm thrilled. Now I need some man eating alien supporting ice cream to celebrate!

True. Parasyte was exactly like Bleach. Especially the plot and characters. |

It's more like Bleach is exactly like Parasyte, since Parasyte's manga is 10 years older than Bleach's manga.

I would guess that Sentai thought the deal with Toonami would be official by the time AX rolled around, but for some reason it hasn't gone through yet. Kind of a shame that they probably ended up wasting money on putting an ad on that truck.

Kinda silly to try to hide it at this point. And if it wasn't a done deal, they could've canceled the truck. Anyway, looks like Toonami is finally get a good show

Now I hope whomever is directing the dub (Kyle Jones or Chris Ayres)will make sure to cast and direct the dub in a very competent manner. If they want to have a real fighting chance then stick to a veteran cast in major roles and cast rookie actors in small supporting roles but only the ones who have proven that they can genuinely hold their own in the acting department. Its a shame Steven Foster retired he would of suited such a show rather well.

Ooops! I hope this was not going to be the only big announcement for Sentai at A/X. I will appreciate it if anyone attending the convention could be in the lookout for more big announcements through ice cream trucks.
Any who, I am also happy for Sentai that Parasyte will air on Toonami. I hope they do a great dub and that they announce physical release plans soon. |
