it's weird not to see gto klvie action there even thought it's really good and popular over there, must have gottena different demographic, I guess.

The live-action version of Sukeban Deka seems to have fared well adapting the manga version of it.

It's an oldie, but I think the live-action Sailor Moon series deserves a mention, as I think its the best adaptation.

I was surprised how gut-bustingly funny both Thermae Romae and Nodame Cantabile were in live-action; I thought they'd be much harder to adapt. I thought Kaiji was pretty good too, and the sequel wasn't that bad either.
