I like Street Fighter series in general.

I'm interested in how the final product will be. For now its the only Reason to buy a PS4. (I'm more of a fighting game fanatic. Hahaha)

Ono looks funny in that costume.

For now Combofiend and Mr. Dahlgren did a fun interview for my taste.

And also today. spoiler[Vega/Claw/Balrog confirmed.]

Cool to see ANN interviewing Combofiend and Dalhgren. Very Happy

I also like the change to proximity normals, having access to the normal you want at all times is nice, especially during combos. I'm interested in what the new characters will bring to the table (Nicalli's got my interest so far) and I want more existing chars to get new toys like they did with Charlie.

Footsies comprise of more than (low) pokes and I believe SF5'll be more interesting in that aspect, though people don't like the walk speeds displayed (not sure if that's been rectified in the beta).

Right, footsies is simple to understand but difficult to master because you and your opponent are moving a lot. Making sure to space and poke is important and part of footsies, not simple (low) attacks.

Yo it's Combofiend lol

That said, I actually managed to get into the beta and the thing I liked so far is that the game seems to have removed a lot of the means to make unsafe things safe (except for maybe some unsafe normals that can be cancelled using v-trigger).

Looking back on it now that we've played SF IV for a long time (well, I mostly watch at this point), one annoying piece of the meta is how when people had two meter, they would do wakeup srk or something you can FADC... they have the dash animation to check whether or not something landed, then they can go into another srk/mixup (usually throw back into neutral?)/ultra (lol).

(UMVC3 had the same thing with Xfactor making stuff safe, which was actually a funnier tool because you could also use that in the middle of someone's blockstring and then there'd be this whole thing where you try to bait xfactor... which I guess is sort of like baiting burst, but I'm to understand that burst doesn't give you a stupid speed/damage buff and you can't normally start a combo from a defensive burst)

You seem more committed to your buttons in SFV, but maybe there's something I don't know about (it's not like I could stay in the beta long enough and the majority of Infiltration's SFV stream was him singing Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston), so I can't be sure.

But yeah... overall, I'm digging the change and will likely play the game in tournaments and whatever (assuming Splatoon scene doesn't grow).
