Playing the Legends series so many years ago. My heart aches for a true Legends 3 to wrap up the story of the Megaman mythos spreading across Classic, X, Zero, ZX, and the Legends worlds.

We'll see though. Inafune is building an alternate universe, I guess Inti Creates to.

Classic = Mighty No. 9

X= ?

Zero = Azure Striker Gunvolt

ZX = ?

Legends = Red Ash

I wouldn't be surprised if this deal was in the works from the beginning.

It's odd that even if a kickstarter campaign fails to prove interest someone would still provide the capital. It's the opposite of what I thought Kickstarter had become. Perhaps now Kickstarter will just be marketing for potential investors.

if by "clutch" you mean "shady as hell just like this entire kickstarter", sure

http://www.fuzegame.tv/e/product.php what a reliable looking company

And unlike most other game kickstarters which close down after getting funding from an outside company, Comcept has somehow decided "keep giving us money, we'll tell you what you're getting later!" is an acceptable thing to do.

FUZE http://www.fuzegame.tv/

As opposed to

Fuse TV http://www.fuse.tv/

The campaign originally sought to raise US$800,000 in funding, and as of press time, the campaign has raised US$486,658 with four days left. Comcept stated in the announcement that, with the project now funded by FUZE Entertainment, the funds raised through the campaign will go towards more content and stretch goals. Comcept did not specify these stretch goals.

Unless their Kickstarter reaches its $800K goal, no funds are collected from the backers - meaning no funds will be raised from the campaign at all for them to use towards more content.

@enurtsol - that was the first thing that came to my mind. Didn't think the KS would allow that, unless things have changed (been awhile since I last backed something)?

Oh, and they can't change the goal amount, can they? One would think they couldn't. But, if they can, then they could lower it and still take people's money...

And, FUZE does seem kind of weird. Never heard of the company before, and this made me laugh:
Quote:
The estimate release date of Fuze Console will be around June 2015.
http://www.fuzegame.tv/e/about.php

They've also got a LinkedIn page, that states:
Quote:
We're now developing a console product based on Android system, using the NVIDIA chip with full OpenGL 4.4 support, with better GPU performance than Xbox360/PS3.
https://www.linkedin.com/company/fuze-game-co-ltd-peking

Looking to compete against the last generation of gaming consoles.

Oh, and according to Bloomberg:
Quote:
Fuze Entertainment Co., Ltd. develops gaming hardware. The company is based in Cayman Islands.
http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=288101783

Hmm...Laughing

which just makes the whole thing more confusing

this isn't going to suddenly pull out a 400k miracle, if anything I've seen people talking about cancelling their pledge

Why not just cancel the kickstarter instead of blowing smoke in people's faces?

e: hahaha the cayman islands. I think Inafune just joined forces with an investment scam.

So what will be the equivalent to the Battle Network games?

I'm going to bet "nothing" because I will be honestly shocked if this game comes out ever.

The simple answer, FUZE kicks in the extra at the last minute so they "meet" their goal and get the money. If KS takes 5%, then 5% of $800k is $40k, Comcept still bags over $400k and has that much less rewards to fill.

Yep, I've seen a few crowdfunding projects be nowhere near the goals, then all of a sudden, someone makes a huge contribution and it's now suddenly barely at the goal.

It does make the normal backers feel meaningless though, unless there are compelling backer rewards along the way.

If they're gonna do that, there's no sense waiting till the last minute. People are more willing to put money and back a project when they know it's definitely going to happen. That's why there's always a rush of fence-sitters the moment right after something hits its goal.
