Well since they've already attached their IP to pixels, I guess Nintendo films have nowhere to go but up.

Donkey Kong and the rest of the ape crew also had a CGI TV series in the late 90s, which was a co-production between Canada and France. I remember watching that on Teletoon. It also bothered me the way DKs butt was animated when he walked, or even sat down. Way too much monkey butt crack.

An Earthbound movie could be absolutely amazing if done well. (An Earthbound anime would actually be really cool too.)

The book Console Wars, (which is an excellent read) described how most of the stupidity that befell the Mario Bros movie fell on Nintendo to a hilarious degree.
I expect similar results. |

Over twenty years and they're still reeling from the movie, but glad to see that they're reconsidering. The thing is with the way effects technology is now, possibilities can considered infinite now. Here's to hoping.

Nintendo needs profit, and with CG getting so good nowadays, there's less delineation between movies and video games.
