I would like to see a live action of this but that would be hard to do considering one of the main characters is a full fledged cyborg with armor and what not.

Don't know what to think about the planned live action movie, but I'm really looking forward for the for the sequal as the first Appleseed was a real blast Smile. And before anyone asks, I imported my copy from Japan. There was an interview a while ago in the NewType USA magazine with the director of the Appleseed movie and the director implied about the possibility of a tv-serie and sequals. Since the people who made the first film have all the technology and the know-how from the first movie, it would be a waste not to utilize those resources for at least another movie.

if you ask me, Appleseed 2004 was disappointing in some ways, but i wont go into that. and it looks like my brother was right bout that they were planning sequals Very Happy

hopefully they'll have Shirow humor and Sokak in the TV series, because thats whats really missing from the movie. as for the live action part, im looking forward to it, nothing beats seeing a sexy, well built babe in a tight outfit with a gun Laughing

Is the TV series going to be all CGI too? Was that implied? I'm not too fond of cel-shaded CGI(the lightings never right to me).

Given the news that CGI expert Romanov Higa will be the one with megaphone, I'd say this movie will also be rendered with CGI. He has already directed another Shirow's adaptation: Tank S.W.A.T. 01. The technology has improved significantly in recent years, so let's see how much improvement has been made.

Man this series takes a long time to produce. It's 2008 now -- over three years since the TV series had been announced -- and the series is still under production. Rolling Eyes
