Next to Berserk, One-Punch Man has to be the best looking manga I've ever read. Some of the pages are just stunning

I can't believe that a supposedly "massive" thigh gap is a minus in a review. Oh well..

Seriously. It's like they're searching for things to criticize on but can't find any.

Agreed. That, and the thing about the bugs shouldn't be a subtraction from the score. Those factors are completely subjective.

I completely agree. Art is amazing in this manga. I'm not sure what the original Webcomic was like, but art is amazing and story is fun to read.

I've read further than these two chapters, there some serious great stuff to come.

I wouldn't have detracted for the thigh gap if it hadn't been such a glaring departure from the normally excellent art - it's not a trend I care for, but this was in the realm of the really bizarre. (Even for a mosquito girl.) As for the engorged bugs...yeah, it is subjective, but rural me has seen a few too many of them where she'd rather not, and I'm assuming I'm not the only one with a visceral reaction. On the other hand, that they're good enough to provoke such a reaction should probably have been a plus, so I did overlook that.

I mean, I consider it a victory for One Punch Man that the only bad thing that can be mentioned about it is the thigh gap of a single character. (That and the bugs, but yeah, that's very, very minor as well).

Go check it out. Believe me, you'd be glad ONE didn't handle the art for the manga. Wink

I'll keep an eye out for reviews of future volumes. Based off this review for the first 2, there's nothing there's nothing mentioned that has me wanting to separate with my money and buy this manga.

Basically this; looking at one and then the other can be.... jarring.

Although, if you keep reading the original, the art tends to grow on you in its own way. It has a charm to it with how it fits with ONE's writing.

unfortunately no one in the US have seen that. so until then, i'm afraid people will agree that OPM is the the best looking manga in years.

and considering how good the anime is, it boggles the mind that it haven't gotten an Adult Swim broadcast as yet.

Weird to see Volume 2's cover used. For those of you unfamiliar with what Saitama looks like, he is that tiny figure at the bottom of the cover art. That basically tells you this is going to be a comedy of the absurd.

Do you see how sometimes, Saitama is drawn in a simplistic style, with hatching shading only and thick lines? That's Yusuke Murata imitating ONE's webcomic style.

Has the anime begun? Whether it has or hasn't, it still takes time to make an English dub of the series. Not every show is going to be simulcast like Space Dandy.

Technically the anime has begun...only because there was some sort of a screening for it, and then episode 1 found its way online. I've no idea if someone recorded the screening or it found it way by some other method, as I've not seen it myself.
