I am not understanding why Sekirei's Miya Asama isn't listed on the poll. Miya is definitely 1 of the ultimate c***-blockers and 1 of my favorite Monica Rial roles.

She is not there because nobody submitted her name.
If you think that she should be on the poll you can just type her name in the box at the bottom.

I picked Haruhi Suzumiya because I know what she is capable of.

I was stuck between Haruhi and Sakura, but Sakura ultimately won because Haruhi does things pretty much unconsciously, and is actually pretty easy to appease as long as Kyon is around.

I have Seen 5/7 of those series and i have quite a bit history with them.

Blue Submarine No.6 was one of my intro Anime back when it aired on Toonami Uk in my early days...it was also my first Series i bought for dvd and started my otaku collection...it is pretty much outdated these days but it has sentimental reasons.

One Piece: HAHA of what is considered the Big 3 one piece was the only one i ever and still finding interesting and watching to this date..it never fails to impress...the anime adaptation has pretty much slowed down as hell these days but the manga is still epic...and it never felt it was dragging as much as the other have.

Arpeggio: Quite an overlooked and underated series...largely cause of the Cgi animation which turns people away...the cgi is actually one of the better ones and it works quite well in this series. I also have some sentimental reason to it cause it was part of the fall 2013 lineup and it was the first season i started watching series as they air per season...and i will pick up the Discotek release later this month as it is one of my favorites.

Nadia the secret of Blue water: Practically the oldest series i have in my collection and one of the few good classics that came out of that era...i love the 20,000 league and atlantis plot it burrowed..the sci fi and action was great and is one of the few that has colored main characthers which are hard to find in any series let alone be in the main cast. I just hate those filler island episodes felt out of place.

Kancolle was the only one dropped.... bothing agaisnt it but it is clearly made for the fans of the card game and not much else....and sicne i never played it...it does not appeal to me.

As for the last 2 I was going to give Gargantia a try but after it was annouced that the second season was cancelled in favor for the novel ending and left the series open i decided against it...which is a shame.

AS for Tide line blue..yeah i knew of it but i never gave it try....i might add to my watch list and see it later down the road....but i have not heard much good reception about it but i will see.

One last thing...despite the huge amount of exploration adventures at sea can provide...it is really one of the few setting that has never been truly explored by the anime industry u can practically count the number of shows that involve those adventurers in your mind...where as other plots and setting have been explored more and even more overused....perhaps this also a curse and a blessing. depending how u see it Very Happy

I was mostly stuck between Balalaika and Roberta for this poll because of the real world setting of Black Lagoon.

Balalaika has tons of goons in Hotel Moscow and Roberta's a damn tank when she's pissed. Also Erza is pretty scary as any Fairy Tail member can attest to (Especially Natsu and Gray)

The poll is sorely missing Izumi Curtis. That's my vote.

I didn't think that I'd be the one to put down General Armstrong's name. And here I thought Brotherhood was popular Razz

Went with Rena for the poll. While Roberta and Balalaika are scarier when angered, it's the contrast between Rena's cute and friendly personality that makes the times when she's well and truly pissed to be a lot more shocking that seals it for me. Balalaika and Roberta are already pretty intimidating to begin with. Laughing

Hey, wait a minute, I watched Tide Line Blue and I consider it time I'll never get back. As bad as the low points in its entry were, I'd say the worst part of it was how entitled Keel felt in comparison to his value in the story. I believe the ostrich had more worth in the story than he had.

Scariest women when mad? Lina Inverse. From "Fireball" to "Giga Slave", she's... she's kind of a monster to be honest. When she gets really angry, she doesn't even have to perform the incantation

She's also not on the poll... And fixed.

Asuna? I'd like to see her get mad when Kirito flirts with his other harem girls, but I guess if you can intimidate a grown man that works for the government you can intimidate anyone. Rolling Eyes

Anywayyyy... I'll choose Balalaika since she's amazing and her name is fun to say lol.

To that short list I'd add Zipang and The Mars Daybreak. The former is military, the latter, pirates, which still leaves exploration high and dry. Mars did have some nice visuals of sea life though and a small sense of wonder at that, but mostly "exploration" seems to be left to space as far as anime is concerned. We don't even see very many land-based explorers. :/
