Yup, Okabe fails to save Kurisu in this timeline. I believe they mention that in a couple teaser back too if I remember correctly.

This series is focusing on the Okabe that's in the video giving instructions to the one we see near the end of the first series after he initially spoiler[fails to save Kurisu.] So this game/anime will follow his life long journey to amend his mistake and put past Okabe onto the Steins;Gate world line. I'm probably not explaining this in the most sufficient way, sorry. Confused The wiki's are probably a better resource than myself. Time travel stories are always hard to put into words.

And speaking of that Steins;Gate movie, are we getting anywhere with that? I feel like Funimation has lately just been teasing me, what with all these delays and lack of information on releases (Evangelion 3.33!!!).

I asked them about the Steins;Gate movie at AX and they said that they were waiting on the materials from Japan.
