miike did an incredible job with 13 assassins. it one of the best samurai films i have ever seen. as a director, he is hit or miss (usually miss), but he has proved he can do a samurai era period film so let us look forward to blade the immoral!

whoo-boy, I can see why this would be up Miike's alley. I just wish someone would do another anime adaptation of the series and due the whole run.

Perfect director for this material. Hopefully we will get a new anime adaption around the time this comes out.
