Fantastic news. Now I can save some serious shelf space by dumping my old Genon discs. You have my money, sirs!

The series that introduced me to the franchise. It's nice to see it getting a release again!

I love the second TV series! Red Jacket has all the cool capers I need and even some more serious episodes sprinkled within. It would have been nice if the Phuuz cast could come back to dub the undubbed episodes, but I'll be fine just having the ones they did.

I bet it'll be somewhat pricey, though. There are a lot of episodes!

The company will include "any English dubs that already exist"

That means including the Pioneer/CN dubs we wished DIDN'T exist.

Still if it means a sub-only release of the later episodes that gets as far as the two Miyazaki episodes that Pioneer never got around to, I can finally retire my old Streamline VHS of the Albatross and Farewell Lupin episodes.

Talk about ending the year with a bang.

I'm guessing the sets will be priced similarly to Discotek's Fist of the North Star releases.

I can't imagine any licensing news that would make me happier than this. I'm so excited and can't wait to buy the sets!

This is good news and good motivation to complete this show which I've had on hold for so many years, while simultaneously adding to my Lupin the 3rd collection.

YESS!! I was hoping this would happen. While in a perfect world, Discotek would have financed the Phuuz cast to finish the dub episodes (since Lupin seems like their favorite franchise and produced Jigen's Gravestone dub) but this was expected. It's good enough for me.

Absolutely amazing news, I've been waiting years for this to happen. What do they mean by "episodes 80-155 will have improved English subtitles"? Does this mean Crunchyroll's subs are crap? That's where Pioneer stopped, but they should produce new subtitles for every episode for consistency's sake.

I'm wondering this too, there are (very poor) bootleg subs of eps 80-155 before crunch roll crunchroll but i doubt they meant those.

Either way, its great having these episodes finally avaiable officially in the states, just a shame that they arent gonna be dubbed..... Crying or Very sad

Fab news, only just got into Lupin III this year with Part IV (which is superb thus far) so looking forward to these next year along with Part I when I eventually buy it.

Not many companies would license a series over 100 episodes these days let alone an older show so full credit to Discotek.

Its nice but dvd only, its 2015, if anything they should release blu ray only. You can get a blu ray player for less than the cost of an anime boxset, and I can't imagine at this point it time it costs that much more to print blu rays over dvds.
