| I believe there is some incorrect information in this review. They claim Mary Elizabeth McGlynn was the original voice actress in the Ghost in the Shell movie. That's not true, it was Mimi Woods who voiced Motoko. I just thought I'd point that out. |

Good of you to catch that. You're quite right,. I can't imagine how someone could confuse the two. |

And there's also a type-o in the second to last paragraph:
| Quote: | | Mary Elizabeth McGlynn continues to play teh role of lead character Matoko Kusanagi confidently... |
And on a non technical related note, I'll have to pass on Ms. McGlynn's performance. It might just be me, but I think she sounds a little dull sometimes, still though, it's a good review .
EDIT: Didn't like my original sentence structure.

Kusanagi usually sounds dull to me no matter who is playing her... maybe it's her super-serious personality? I dunno. Sometimes I wish her character wasn't so emotionally sterile (although she has her moments...). |

Well of course her character is pretty serious, but Atsuko Tanaka just sounds more disciplined to me than Ms. McGlynn. And from time to time, Tanaka-san also seems to sneak a more gleeful tone which shows she's not just a stoic around her Section 9 comrades, at least that's what it sounds like to me . |

I like McGlynn's performance in this one. She sounds so close to Mimi Woods that it was probably easy for the casting director to tap her for the role.
My only issue with McGlynn's performance is the fact that every time I hear her, I keep thinking of Helba. (Mostly because I had just recently watched the entire .hack//SIGN show and had been playing the .hack games, so it's just that character that comes to mind first.)
Otherwise, she is doing a great job with Kusanagi. |
