I really can't see this being any good. It sounds like it's drowning in tropes and its original creators are people best known for slice of life drama type shows. Why should I believe them when they say they can do an action show?

It's looking to be this year's Chaos Dragon.

This is just looking so in house A-1 it hurts. The companies kind of ruined Taku Iwasaki somehow too, like just since they've been using him so much lately he's been nowhere even close to as good, kind of like Hiroyuki Sawano. Aniplex/A-1 really needs to learn to stop using the same small handful of people over and over again, like I know they're trying to keep everything in house Sony Music, but it's killing the variety since frankly they don't have a whole hell of a lot of retained composers on the sub labels besides Sawano, Kajiura and Iwasaki. The whole industry could stand to stop using Sawano in particular over and over and over again.

Anyway this doesn't look like this years Chaos Dragon so much as Gunslinger Stratos except instead of an adaptation it's original, just an extremely cliche sounding original. Also asking three light novel writers with little in common besides their profession to write a story just seems like asking for a clusterfuck. I know Aniplex is all about trying to build these super groups of popular people who worked on hits in the past to lure in viewers but if you're probably 12 episode show that may be a split cour at best (likely knowing A-1) needs three head writers and designers on top of a director and series composer somethings really off.

"Date A Live" is actually 1 of those action harem shows, so at least 1 of them has some experience making an action show. I say best to reserve judgment after watching the first episode.
