Lol the key visual looks priceless.
Can't wait for this to air. Handa-kun's comedy is quite funny from the manga I've read before.

Yeah, it is a prequel after all.
The manga is amusing enough, even if the central gag of everyone liking Handa but Handa thinking everyone hates him does wear thin after awhile.

The manga has an entirely different setting and characters though the lead and one character who appears in Barakamon are in it. There's a few references to the original series but as someone else on here said it is a prequel. The first volume of the manga is available for $3 on amazon kindle for anyone whose curious about the series.

Yes, but I personally recommend you watch Barakamon first. Handa kun packs an even bigger punch if you know what he's like in present day.
