Well, you know, I spent 200+ dollars collecting this on Blu-Ray because of Bandai Visual's price-gouging, but yeah, sure, let's release it again with additional scenes, probably cheaper.

—Surely by "new animated footage", they mean spoiler["retconning a certain character's all-too-obvious and unnecessary death in the last episode"]!! If so, then sure, I welcome this with open arms…

It sounds to me like the "new animated footage" just referres to the new opening and closing. I could be wrong though.
