Anime Expo 2013
Right Stuf / Nozomi Entertainment

by Bamboo Dong,

Right Stuf president and CEO Shawn Kleckner kicked off his "tour" of catalog titles and upcoming releases at Friday's Right Stuf and Nozomi Entertainment panel sporting a jungle safari hat. First stop was trailers for already released titles from Right Stuf's various imprints, including Hyakko, Sweet Blue Flowers, Ristorante Paradiso, which are now available in "liteboxes" under the Lucky Penny Studio label. Also shown was a trailer for the classic anime The Rose of Versailles, which is currently streaming on Viki, and will soon also be available on Crunchyroll.

Coming soon to DVD is the remastered Princess Knight TV anime, which originally aired in Japan in 1967. The DVDs will feature the edited, English-dubbed broadcast version that aired on North American TV in the 70s and 80s. This August, Right Stuf will also start releasing Sunrise's Mobile Suit Gundam UC on DVD in four volumes, with the last volume to ship in Spring 2014. First announced earlier this year, Right Stuf will also be releasing the Space Adventure Cobra television series. The DVDs will include an interview with original creator Buichi Terasawa, part of which was shown to the audience.

On the announcements side, Lucky Penny Studio will be releasing a bilingual boxset of Princess Nine, a title that was previously published in North America by ADV Films. Also coming soon from Lucky Penny is the Blessing of the Campanella TV series, which is currently available streaming online from Funimation; and Sengoku Collection, which is available digitally from Crunchyroll. Nozomi Entertainment also picked up the DVD and digital rights for Cat's Eye, a series about three sisters who become art thieves that first aired in Japan in 1983. Because of the length of the series (73 episodes), there are still no concrete plans on how the release will be structured. Previously, Cat's Eye was available on subtitled-only DVD from ImaginAsian Entertainment.

Lastly, Right Stuf has begun working on the next two Hetalia: World Axis Powers graphic novels.
