Right Stuf

by Bamboo Dong,

Shawn Kleckner had exciting news for those attending the Right Stuf panel on Saturday afternoon. After talking about some of the company's current and upcoming titles, he announced that Nozomi Entertainment has acquired Yakitate Japan, a culinary comedy based on the manga by Takashi Hashiguchi, which is available in North America from Viz Media. The series follows a boy named Kazuma Azuma, who is on a quest to create "Ja-Pan," a national bread for Japan. In the question and answer session near the end of the panel, Kleckner confirmed that Right Stuf had the entire 69-episoe series. The series will be released beginning in 2015 with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

Meanwhile, the Lucky Penny label will be releasing both seasons of Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san, with an expected release date of 2015. The 26-episode series is based on the manga of the same name by Yasuhisa Kubo. The release will be subtitled only.

Lucky Penny will also be releasing Suteki Tantei Labyrinth (Fantastic Detective Labyrinth), a 25-episode series directed by Hiroshi Watanabe, whose previous directorial work included several Slayers movies, Hetali the Beautiful World, and Jing: King of Bandits. The series is based on a manga series written by Meito Manjō and illustrated by Seiji Wakayama. The series will be released as a complete series DVD set in Fall 2014; it will be subtitled only.

Lastly, Lucky Penny will be releasing Space Pirate Mito beginning in Fall 2014 with remastered video and updated translations. The series was previously released in North America by Media Blasters.

For other upcoming releases from Right Stuf, the company will be releasing the complete Sengoku Collection DVD set in August, and the final volume of Mobile Suit Gundam UC in October.
