Park Shin Hye, Taiwan's George Hu star in adaptation of Kenjirō Hata's manga

Streaming service DramaFever added the first six episodes of the 2011 Taiwanese live-action series adaptation of Kenjirō Hata's Hayate the Combat Butler manga.

DramaFever describes the story:

Due to his parents' gambling habits, Xiao Sa (George Hu) has been forced to be the bread winner since childhood. When he gets fired from both his jobs, he discovers his parents ran off with his last paycheck, leaving behind a massive debt to the mafia. Convinced that good guys never win, he concocts a plan to hold the heiress Xiao Zhi (Park Shin Hye) ransom, but when Xiao Sa mistakingly saves her, he's offered a rags-to-riches position as her butler. Based on the hit manga, true love and comedic drama blossom in this reverse Cinderella tale.

The series also stars Tia Li as Maria and Lee Shiau Shiang as Ju Xuan.

Kenjirō Hata's original manga already inspired the first Hayate the Combat Butler television anime (2007-2008) and its Hayate the Combat Butler!! follow-up (2009). The Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You (Hayate no Gotoku! Can't Take My Eyes Off You) television anime aired in 2012, and the Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties television anime aired last year. The series is getting three new OVAs this year.
