Korean game developer and publisher Nexon announced on Tuesday that it will demo MapleStory VR, a virtual reality version of its MapleStory game, in its outdoor booth at the G-Star Korean video game trade show from November 19 to November 22. Nexon is streaming a teaser video for the demo.
The demo will be compatible with the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR devices.
Nexon launched the original MapleStory game 2D side-scrolling MMO in South Korea in 2003, and developed and launched region or country-specific versions of the game in the following years. Nexon released its sequel, MapleStory 2 in July 2015, featuring 3D graphics. The game received a 25-episode television anime adaptation in 2007.
