Sony Plans PS2 Emulation For PS4

Sony told technology news source Wired that it is "working on utilizing PlayStation 2 emulation technology to bring PlayStation 2 games forward to the current generation." The company offered no further comment.
Video game news website Eurogamer reported on Friday that a collection of three PS2 Star Wars games—Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter—have already been released for PlayStation 4 under PS2 emulation as part of a Star Wars game bundle.
Sony has offered a line of PS2 classics for PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Store. The PS4 does not offer any kind of backwards compatibility.
