Right Stuf Schedules Zeta Gundam on Blu-ray/DVD on March 1

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Anime retailer and distributor Right Stuf announced on Wednesday that it will release the first part of the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on March 1.

Both the Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will include the show's first 25 episodes in remastered video, the English dub produced by The Ocean Group for the 2005 Bandai Entertainment DVD release, and the creditless opening and ending sequences.

Right Stuf describes the anime:

The Earth Federation Stands victorious, but are they still on the right side?

In Zeta Gundam, we see the future world of the Universal Century through a dark mirror. Having defeated the Zeon menace, the Earth Federation has itself become cruel and oppressive. A new generation of Gundam mobile suits is created not to fight for peace, but to punish the enemies of the state, and yesterday's villains must become today's heroes in order to balance the scales of justice. When a young civilian named Kamille Bidan is caught up in the rebellion, he little suspects the price he will pay in the fight for freedom.

Right Stuf and Sunrise previously announced plans to release a number of Gundam series in North America. Right Stuf already released the original Mobile Suit Gundam television anime series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, as well as the Turn A Gundam television anime series.

Right Stuf and Sunrise also plan to release Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, After War Gundam X, and the Turn A Gundam movie collection.
