Divine Gate Anime Listed With 12 Episodes

The official website of the Divine Gate television anime series lists the anime's six home video volumes containing a total of 12 episodes for the anime.

Funimation is streaming the series as it airs in Japan, and describes it:

After the Divine Gate opened, our world and the worlds beyond became connected, bringing an era of chaos. To restore order, the World Council was formed and the Divine Gate fell into legend. Now, a select few have gathered to attempt to reach the Gate and remake the world. But what will they find when they open the door?

The series premiered on January 8. Funimation will also offer an English broadcast dub for the series.

The series is based on GungHo Online Entertainment and Acquire's smartphone "panel RPG." Noriyuki Abe (The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Bleach, GTO) is directing the anime at Studio Pierrot, and Natsuko Takahashi (My Love Story!!, Moyashimon, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan) is in charge of series composition. Ichiro Uno (The World is Still Beautiful) is designing the characters, and Takumi Ozawa (Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Okamikakushi - Masque of the Wolf) is composing the music. Hitorie performs the anime's opening theme song "One Me Two Hearts," while the group vistlip (Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock-, Yona of the Dawn, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) is contributing the ending theme song "Contrast."
