NISA Delays PC Version of htoL#NiQ Game to May 18

posted on by Kyle Hallmark

NIS America announced on Friday that it is delaying the PC release of the htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary game again from April 25 to May 18. The game was originally supposed to ship on March 14 before being delayed to April 25.

NIS America explained that the delay is intended to fix common issues that the game's beta testers experienced, notably problems with playing in 60 frames per second and frame rate drops in Umbra mode. A second round of beta testing will take place from April 27 to May 4.

NIS America also streamed a new trailer for the Steam version on Friday.

NIS America describes the story:

In the depths of a labyrinthine ruin, a young girl named Mion rises from a deep sleep. Lost, alone, and with no memory of how she got here or where her parents are, she is greeted by two fireflies—one composed entirely of light, and another who lurks among the shadows. By shifting between a world of light and a world of shadows, these two fireflies must work together to recover Mion's memories and lead her out of the ruins, where voracious shadow beasts, ancient machines, and treacherous traps lie in wait to bar her path. But what secrets do Mion's lost memories contain? What is the connection between her, the ruins, and the fireflies lighting her escape? The answers may reveal a deeper darkness—one that must be faced from within...

NIS America released the htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary PlayStation Vita puzzle platform game in the U.S. last February, and in Europe last March. Nippon Ichi Software originally released the game in Japan in June 2014.
