3rd Haikyu!! Anime Season Announces Returning Staff, October Premiere

The official website for Haikyu!! Karasuno Kōkō VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Kōkō (Haikyu!! Karasuno High vs Shiratorizawa Academy), the third anime season based on Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! volleyball manga, revealed the main staff for the anime on Monday. The website also announced that the series will premiere in October.
The staff is returning from the first two seasons. Susumu Mitsunaka is again directing the series at Production I.G with assistant director Mariko Ishikawa. Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters. Yūko Yahiro is joining Takahiro Chiba as a chief animation director. Hiromi Kikuta is serving as sound director and Yuuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana are composing the music.
The first anime season premiered in April 2014. The second season premiered in October 2015 and finished airing on Sunday. Sentai Filmworks has licensed and released the first season on home video, and has also licensed the second season. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired.
The anime franchise also received two compilation anime films last July and September.
Viz Media will publish the manga in North America beginning in July.
