Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Gets 'New Product Release,' Café, Exhibition

The official Twitter account for the Kobe-based Gainax WEST. anime studio posted a message and image in Japanese and English on Thursday describing the "first step" of a Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt project. The studio said it set up a new project team to release a "new product" for the series, hold an exhibition, and set up a café in Kobe Anime Street.

The Japanese version of the Tweet states that the "new product" will go on sale between the beginning of March and April. The exhibit and café will run from the middle of February to April.
Gainax WEST. posted an image in November that featured the words "Coming Soon" and what appeared to be outlines of the protagonists of the Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt anime series. The studio later updated the announcement by saying it would post more information on December 16, and the news would not be a pachinko, pachislot, social network game, or Blu-ray Disc.
Gainax launched the Gainax WEST. branch in March. Producer Yasuhiro Takeda is in charge of the WEST. location.
The 13-episode Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt television anime series aired in 2010. Funimation released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
