My Hero Academia Season 2 Anime to Air on NTV, YTV

posted on by Kevin Yuan

Next year's combined fourth and fifth issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the second season of the My Hero Academia anime series will air on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on the NTV (Nippon TV) and YTV (Yomiuri TV) channels beginning in April. NTV and YTV currently air the Time Bokan 24 anime series in that timeslot, and previously aired the Ace Attorney anime series.

The magazine also is revealing that My Hero Academia's first season of 13 episodes will air on YTV beginning on January 9. The first season previously aired during the "Nichigo" Sunday evening anime timeslot on the MBS and TBS channels beginning on April 3. MBS and TBS announced on Tuesday that the dedicated timeslot will end in April and that a new one-hour anime timeslot named "Anisata" will launch on Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m.

The new season of My Hero Academia will cover the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.

Funimation streamed the first season in Japanese with English subtitles in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland as it aired in Japan. The company also streamed a broadcast dub.
